Kingshott War Dead - All Nations

This section provides short, individual biographies of all the Kingshotts' who have died during various wars. At the moment the emphasis is heavily on the first and second world wars but if I find information on other war deaths I will post this too.

Sadly for a relatively small family, we seem to be over-represented in family members that died during the two world wars.

"We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields."

  John McCrae - May 1915

"I am the enemy you killed, my friend.
I knew you in this dark: for so you frowned
Yesterday through me as you jabbed and killed.
I parried; but my hands were loath and cold.
Let us sleep now..."

Wilfred Owen - 1918

Each of the brave men who died has their own page which gives, where available, a bit of information on their lives and origin. I will also explain what relationship they are to me where this is known.

I am continuing to research my lost cousins and hope to post some information on the military activities that they were engaged in, in due course. If you can assist me, please contact me.
