Samuel John Kingshott was a Gunner with B Battery, 122nd Bde, Imperial Camel Corps, Royal Artillery. His service numbe was W/5218.

Samuel was born in 1893, the oldest of four children born to Samuel Coleman Kingshott and his wife Harriet Rose nee Goodes. They lived in St Pancras, London. He had married an Annie James in 1915, in Wales, and they had a son called William Derby Kingshott the following year. Sadly, William would never know his father.
Samuel died from his wounds in the hospital clearing station at St Omer, France, on 13th April 1918. He was 25 years old.
Samuel was my 7th cousin once removed.
