Leslie Arthur Kinshott was a Private in the 1st Battalion of the Hampshire Regiment. His service number was 28316.

Leslie was born around 1899 at Ryde, on the Isle of White. His parents were Arthur John & Margaret Amelia Kinshott. This family originated in East Meon, Hampshire.
 
Leslie was killed in action at Arras on the Western Front on the 28th March 1918. He was 19 years old. His body was not recovered from the mud and remains there now. He is commemorated on the Arras Memorial.
 
Leslie was entitled to the British War Medal and the Victory Medal.
 
Leslie was my 7th cousin once removed.
