There have been several waves of migration to the United States of America over the years, but there are two principal areas of early settlement. These are Washington State and Michigan, with the latter being the older.

Of course, there are Kingshotts' in various locations in the States now, some of whom come from later family migration (for example US Squash player Natasha Kingshott and her family) but the majority of current US Kingshott's can be traced back to these two areas.
